GIVE AWARD NOMINATION DETAILS & ELIGIBILITY
The GIVE Award
The GIVE Award publicly acknowledges an individual who has contributed outstanding leadership, support or service to assist Wednesday's Child Benefit Corporation's efforts to provide resources and hope to North Texas foster children and their families. Through their support, nominees enable Wednesday's Child Benefit Corporation to provide funds to fulfill the specific needs of North Texas foster children when no one else can or will so they are able to have as normal a childhood as possible.
GIVE Award nominees provide direct community benefit through volunteer service impacting children. (Recognition is primarily for efforts through Wednesday's Child, but additional community involvement benefiting children will also be taken into consideration.) Nominees will be recognized for their efforts within the past 12 months and monetary contributions made by nominees will not be considered. The recipient of the GIVE Award will also be nominated for the Hearts of Hope Awards, sponsored by the Volunteer Center of Dallas.
Eligibility
Nominees should be individuals who have generously contributed their time and talents to further the impact of Wednesday's Child Benefit Corporation. Wednesday's Child staff members are not eligible for nomination.
Selection Process
Prior to review by judges, all nominees will be contacted by Wednesday's Child Benefit Corporation to confirm willingness to participate. At that point, nominations will be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of individuals closely related to and familiar with the Wednesday's Child Benefit Corporation mission and vision. Nominations will be judged based on level of involvement and overall impact with Wednesday's Child and within the community as a whole during the past 12 months, and one award will be presented. While we hope to present the GIVE Award annually, Wednesday's Child Benefit Corporation reserves the right to waive the presentation if so desired.
Nominations
For a nominee to be considered, the nomination form must be filled out completely. Any individual or group may nominate more than one person, and any individual may self-nominate.
When completing the nomination form, please be brief and concise, but also thorough in answering all questions. Provide specific details when describing the nominee, and focus on successful volunteer efforts, contributions and accomplishments. A non-returnable photo of the nominee should be included with the nomination form if possible.
